Popular/high profit niche with potential to become an authority site! Includes static AND aggregated content! ‘Drugs News’ feed gets all the major SSRIs for top-paying keywords! AdSense paying up to $50 per CLICK! High gravity ClickBank products! All major psychological problems covered, fully automated, updates daily. GAD, depression, phobias, OCD and panic attacks have always been popular – there is huge interest and as a consequence this is an high paying (health…) and popular niche. To differentiate from similar sites, we’ve chosen a different approach with an unusual structure laid down by an expert in psychological problems. We have three main categories (Anxiety Causes, Symptoms and Treatment) made of static articles. These are accessible from the homepage slideshow (and from the main menu). Six more categories reflect the major anxiety disorders (Phobias, GAD, OCD etc.), these are accessible from the Featured section (the six icons on the homepage) and again from the main menu. These are also static articles (for a total of ~100 articles all handpicked).
Then we have a ‘News’ section which is the syndicated content pulled in fresh every day. This makes the ‘main loop’ ie all posts under the Featured section (and again accessible from the main menu as well).
Finally we have a ‘drugs news’ section which is a different feed in the syndication plugin, made of chemicals medicines keywords used to cure such problems. This content is shown in the secondary sidebar on the left (not from the main menu). The reason for this content is mostly profit. Keywords such as Zoloft (a popular antidepressant), serotonin, antidepressants, SSRIs etc. pay double digits figures per click with AdSense (‘Zoloft lawsuit’ for example pays $50 ! — see pics on the left).
Hopefully this huge feed (over 100 chems keywords!) will allow the site to show high paying AdSense related ads (that’s why there are two big AdSense banners right on the homepage). Plus, depressed people search about their addictive medicines at all time so this section also obviously adds interest to the site.
You could add more value to the site curating its content. You can write new static articles under the nine categories (write them yourself, rewrite Wikipedia or other sources, ask someone on fiver to write unique content etc.), or you could also edit the ‘News’ posts, for example many curated aggregators write a new excerpt (a related comment, personal insight etc.) whilst the headline still links to the original post.
Down the road, since the site is so easy to use and open to customization, you could even add a visitors stories section, where visitors would post their thoughts, or even a forum and so on. Thanks to the new syndication plugin, adding new feeds and actually even entire new multi-feed categories is now much easier than before (compared to our other aggregators). In addition, with one click you can decide whether show entire content, just the excerpt, or just the headline. You could even (one click) discard posts without pictures, so the site would become 100% graphical. You could even filter the posts based on keywords, or even (wow) search/replace text within the posts. And it is not just feeds: you can also add content from websites such as Flickr, YouTube, Twitter based on keywords.
Finally, if technically skilled, you can build very complex posts templates with conditionals and expressions. The site layout is very neat and as usual fully mobile responsive. Changing Site Title and Tagline from within WordPress automatically changes the left part of the header (which is text, so no need to use a graphic software).
