No need to run a Google Trends search to reveal that ‘drones’, quadcopters and aerial photography (this alone a huge industry) are the hottest technology niches at the moment and for the foreseeable future for sure. googleOnly three years ago the only way to perform aerial photography/videos required dangerous R/C model helicopters and exceptional skills, now these things literally fly and land themselves and are used EVERYWHERE from rescue missions, agriculture, mapping, moviemaking, arts, sports events, real estate and even weddings! You have surely seen the beautiful aerial videos that drones are able to capture even in 30mph winds. From Facebook to Amazon to Google, every major tech company is investing millions of dollars in drones. Charities, TV news/documentaries, natural disasters surveys, military, cartography, agriculture, hobbies of course… the list is endless.

With this site you can become a super Amazon affiliate just like profitable websites such as thisiswhyimbroke.com and dudeiwantthat.com, but instead of useless cheap gadgets you will be promoting the coolest thing on the planet in its infancy. Decent quadcopters cost from $1,000 to $3,000 which means that at ~6% average commission you can make ~$60 to ~$180 per sale (not considering the static adverts on site).

Given the importance of the topic we have used a new amazing layout never utilized before and the smoothest integration between products-posting, shopping cart/checkout (90-days cookies!), theme, content (including an aggregator pulling in ‘drones news’ automatically, this alone would make a great site by itself), graphics, advertisement and overall the best ‘shopper gratification’ possible. We have eight drones/quadcopters brands (the major seven plus a beginners section with cheaper models), plus cameras (GoPro obviously) and publications (aerial photography etc.). The site also features videos and as said a blog section publishing on autopilot all the latest news in the industry (you can post your own content as well if desired). As it is the blog section shows headlines excerpts which open at the originating sites, but if desired you can show full or partial articles on site with one click.

A lot of work has gone into this project and in fact, we can’t think of a more comprehensive site on the topic, for example this one on flippa (also a startup) just went unsold at $600 (reserve $2,500) — even though it affiliates with ‘alibaba’, not Amazon (yuk). A nothing-special domain name only (no site) such as this one was recently sold for $2,000!

Obviously since our site uses a real shopping cart you could sell physical products (directly or via dropshipping) rather than monetize from affiliate commissions (very few changes would be required).

The site comes with ~75 products already posted, of course you can/will add more which is an easy job to do *** (niches like this cannot use automated plugins to pull in products, since you want to pick and offer the very best).

Every aspect of the relatively complex homepage can be easily customized (via shortcodes and ‘blocks’, no coding required), from the stunning video header (with fallout image), to the two featured sections, the ten categories icons and finally the outstanding video gallery at the bottom (these are not just a couple of videos pasted in, notice the scrolling playlists etc. — you can show any user and/or playlist on YouTube). Get yourself in the shopper shoes and notice how easy is to find and add products to the cart (or your own wishlist!), browse comments/reviews and blog, check the drop-down cart, or even – why not – click on the strategically placed static adverts that will greatly help with conversions. In other words a professional on-line store which doesn’t look at all like an affiliate store (like the flippa auction above). Again please keep in mind that the site is brand new so just imagine how it will look once more products and more blog posts will be (automatically) added, along with any changes or modifications you may want to perform (the site admin panel/theme are easy to use, OR re-use if you wish to duplicate the site, even to a different niche).

Those who know WooCommerce will appreciate how it’s been perfectly integrated and pruned of its usual quirks (all WooCommerce sites generally look the same, especially in single product and cart view). *** We have mentioned above ‘a little work’ but there is no need to worry. The Amazon plugin allows to import products by browsing Amazon categories from within the plugin (you can search by best sellers, price, keywords, browsenodes etc.) or – which we recommend – simply pasting Amazon ASINs in an import box. So basically the ‘job’ is limited to visiting Amazon every few weeks to see if any new models have hit the market (or perform a search via the plugin), in this case adding them is just a one-click thing (the plugin automatically keeps the existing inventory and prices always updated via Cron!). Last couple of things to say, first you can also automatically spin the content so your Amazon products descriptions will be unique, and second, if you want to localize the site to your own country (for example prices in å£ and check out from Amazon.co.uk), this is perfectly possible because WooCommerce works with any currency and the Amazon plugin works with all Amazons (USA, UK, Germany etc.). This is not advisable though since Amazon.com has more products and visibility of all the other Amazons together. Features list:

  • e-commerce works with either affiliate products (Amazon sells and ships, you get a commission) OR even with real physical products (sold and shipped by you).
  • on-site shopping cart, get commissions for multiple items at once! Ajax cart in the menu!
  • 90-days Amazon cookie instead of 24-hours earning potential fully maximized. Remember if visitors end up buying a watch instead of a ‘drone’ you still make the commission… they got your cookie for 90-days!
  • create your store like a real store: you can pick any products you want!
  • unique features such as: – product variations – images galleries with lightbox related products wishlists – users reviews will greatly enhance your visitors’ shopping experience.
  • Cron to keep your inventory up-to-date automatically.
  • content spinning: If you are afraid of the much overrated “content-duplication”, the site even has a working spinner to ‘uniquify’ all Amazon descriptions.
  • works with Amazon USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, China, Italy, Spain and India.
  • people love and trust Amazon and will love the site easy-checkout. No need to enter credit card and address details. Many real big e-tailers use Amazon checkout.

Requirements: if you do NOT host with us make sure SOAP and cURL extensions are installed/enabled on your server (most hosts including ourselves install these by default but ask yours if in doubt because a few don’t).

Notice about automated websites

1) Most automated sites are slowed down or paused in order to save resources. Once you get your automated site, Cron jobs will be obviously un-paused and posts will be current.

2) With aggregators, you can choose whether to show posts on site, or have the original stories open in a new window at the original site (default behavior).
